Engineering colleges hire agents to fill vacant BE/Btech Seats

Education sector in this era has become more or less like a business than a noble cause. Recently there is a new trend in market, the engineering and technology colleges in many parts of India are not getting students. There has not been much growth in the private colleges like in states Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, they have been suffering from vacant seats.

By the data of surveys done by the AICTE i.e. All India Council for technical education has seen that from many years 51% of Technical collages all over idea have been experiencing vacant seats. These collages are now lowering the merit list of the entrance exams. Due to this outbreak of collages in the country this type of scenario is happening.

This situation is the major concerns because of such engineering collages in India the quality of students has decreased drastically and thus the value of engineers is also degrading at a great level. And that results in the employability issues, the country lacks skilled engineers and unemployment is increasing.

Uttar Pradesh is one of the states in India with a lot of engineering and technology has seats, after that Haryana and other states come. For this issue a rule has been laid by AKTU (Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University) in Lucknow, that collages affiliated to different universities has to fill the 85 percent of its seats through the UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) and AKTU counselling. And the rest is by management kota.

There have been a lot of news that collages are dealing with third party agents to fill the seat. This devalued the whole process and thus made it a worst condition. The level of quality has to be managed with a proper way of intake. The issues of employment will go if proper skill is developed and not a degree.
