WBJEE 2018 (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) is state-level entrance examination conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) for admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy and architecture courses. WBJEEB has recently announced the commencement date of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination i.e. April 22, 2018. WBJEE 2018 is a pen-paper test which is conducted in two slots in the same day and each slot is of 2 hours duration. Candidates are required to register themselves online through the official website of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. WBJEE 2018 application form will be made available online tentatively from 1st week of January, 2018 and the results are expected to declare in the month of June 2018. Admission to the eligible and WBJEE 2018 qualified candidates are given on the basis of their merit in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2018 and allotment of the seat is done through WBJEE 2018 counselling session. Applicants compete for 3600 seats collectively available in 140 participating institutes of West Bengal.

WBJEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

It is mandatory for the applicant to fulfill all the eligibility criteria while applying for WBJEE 2018 failing which may result in the cancellation of his/ her candidature. We have brought here the list of all the eligibility criterion required for WBJEE 2018.

  • Candidate shall be an Indian national.
  • Candidate shall be a domicile of West Bengal
  • The minimum age limit of the candidate must be 17 years as on December 31, 2018, and there is no upper age limit. Candidates born on or after January 01, 2001 are not eligible to appear in WBJEE 2018.
  • Applicants who have passed HSC/ 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and anyone out of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science as an optional subject with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% for the reserved category candidates) and have scored at least 30% marks in English Language from a recognized Board/ University are considered eligible for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2018.

WBJEE 2018 Application Form

WBJEE 2018 application form will be made available online on its official website from the 1st week of January 2018 and the application window will remain open until February 1st week 2018. Candidates shall register themselves and use their Id and password to login to their account and fill up the application form. It is advisable to keep all the required documents handy while ready to fill up the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2018 application form. Online Registration: Visit the official website of WBJEE and click on the online registration link. Give your correct basic details as asked and set a security password. Complete the registration process and note down your id and password.

Fill up the Application Form: Use your Id and password to login to your account and read all the instructions carefully before filling the application form. Enter all the data carefully and correctly. Review your entries before final submission.

Upload Documents: Upload a soft copy of your passport sized photograph, signature, and left thumb impression. Make sure the size of the soft copies is appropriate as mentioned.

Pay the Application Fee: Pay the application fee of Rs. 500 through both online and offline modes. Candidates could use Net Banking/ Credit or Debit card to make the payment online or shall pay the application fee using bank challan with additional bank charges in offline mode.

WBJEE Application Form Correction

During the last week of February 2018, application correction window will open and candidates who want to rectifyany mistake in the application form could do so. However, correction is restricted to certain fields only viz. DOB, Gender, PwD status, and Tuition Fee Waiver status. Applicants shall visit the website of WBJEE and login to the account using their Id and password and update the entries.

WBJEE 2018 Admit Card

It is expected that the competent authority will provide WBJEE 2018 admit card by the 2nd week of April, 2018. All the registered candidates will be able to download the admit card by log in to their account using their valid id and password. It is mandatory for the applicants to carry the admit card during WBJEE 2018. If the applicant does not produce the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2018 admit card in the examination center he/ she will not be allowed to appear in the examination. WBJEE 2018 Exam Pattern

WBJEE 2018 is a pen-paper test conducted in two slots on the same day. WBJEE 2018 question paper collectively contains 155 multiple choice objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Paper 1 will have 80 MCQs from Physics and Chemistry of total 100 marks and Paper2 will have 75 MCQs from Mathematics of total 100 marks. Applicants shall use black or blue ball point pen only to mark the answers on the answer sheet.

WBJEE 2018 Cutoff

WBJEE 2018 Cutoff will be released online after the declaration of WBJEE 2018 Result. Candidates who will qualify West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2018 and score equal to or more than WBJEE 2018 cutoff marks will be called for WBJEE 2018 counselling. 1. I have lost my WBJEE Admit Card. How will I participate in WBJEE 2018 counseling?

It is mandatory for the candidate to produce original admit card. However, Duplicate Admit card could be collected from the concerned Board.

2. I want to know the working hours of the Reporting Centers, Participating Institutes and Board Headquarter?

All the centers and participating institutes are open between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm.
