JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) main examination is one of the top entrance examinations of India. This examination is specifically for the candidates who are seeking to get admission in India‘s top engineering colleges, both private and government. However, JEE Main 2018 notification notifies all the candidates that the examination is conducted in the two stages. The first stage is JEE Mains and second is JEE Advanced. To sit in the JEE Mains candidates need to meet basic eligibility criteria, but to give JEE Advanced examination, the candidates are required to clear the JEE Main exam with merit.

JEE Main 2018 Application Form Notification
The application form notification is released by the CBSE. The application form can be filled between the first weeks of December to second week of January. Moreover, it will be available to fill via online mode, previous year the offline mode was removed. The candidate is given enough time to meticulously enter the correct details.
The process of application form includes the steps like registration, filling personal and academic details, and exam details Candidates need to select the city for the exam center while filling the application form. Also, they are required to pay the application form fee along with the other documents.
In case, if a candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBS category, they need to provide a category certificate. From the previous year, to fill the application form, Aadhar card is made compulsory.
Candidate can register on the official website of Joint Entrance Examination Main (jeemain.nic.in), they need to fill all the important details and upload the scanned copy of photographs (passport size). Also, the signature of the candidate is uploaded via scanned copy in the prescribed format. Finally, after submitting the details, the candidate needs to pay the application form fee through online payment or e-challan payment.
JEE Main 2018 Result Notification
Joint Entrance Examination Main conducts two papers; paper-1 and paper-2.The announcement of result is expected to be made by CBSE in the last week of April 2018 for paper-1 and for paper-2, in May 2018. Nearly 13 lakh candidate are expected to appear this year in the JEE main 2018 examination.
The results will be declared on the official website of CBSE (CBSE results.nic.in). To see the result, the candidate needs to enter the application number and their date of birth. The marks of 12th standard are not included in the score of JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2018. However, the normalized score is used to set the cut off marks. Candidate belonging to different categories need different cut off marks to qualify for this examination. For general, OBC and SC/ST category the cut off marks are 81, 31 and 32&27 respectively.
The candidates who qualify JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) Main examination with merit, gets the eligibility to give JEE Advanced examination. The number of application this year is expected to be more than the previous year. JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) Main result allows making the list of All India Rank. The seat allocation in various colleges of engineering like IITs, NITs and other government institutions, will certainly depend on the All India Rank and merit of the candidate. JoSAA is the body which conducts the counselling process and allocates the right college by looking at the score of candidates.
JEE Main 2018 Exam Date Notification
The exam date for the JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) main 2018 examination will be declared by the CBSE in the month of December. The exam date renders the students to analyze their preparation and plan for the remaining time. This also helps to fill the application form on time once they are available, and receive the admit card prior to the examination. Moreover, the JEE Main 2018 exam date notification allows the candidate to correct the mistakes made, while filling the application form. The candidate needs to pay the application form fee in order to complete the registration process. It can be paid through credit/debit card or e-challan. The last date to submit the fee will be in the second week of January 2018.
The admit card will get available to the candidates by CBSE, in the second week of March. Candidate can download it from the official website of JEE main (jeemain.nic.in). The admit card contains all the important information related to the candidate like exam date, exam center, name, and address, etc. Applicants should verify all the details mentioned in the admit card and, in case there is any mistake, it should be immediately informed to the authority.
