JEE Main 2018 Exam Dates

After filling your examination form, you eagerly wait for the announcement of examination dates. Every year in the month of December, the important dates are revealed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The JEE Main 2018 offline (Pen and paper based) exam date has been announced. Offline exam will held on 08, April 2018 and online computer-based examination on 15 or 16th April.

The revelation of the, jee main 2018 exam date sheet will enable the candidates to track their preparation. Moreover, it will help them to fill the application form on time, receive the admit card prior to exam, and most importantly rectify the mistakes made during form filling.

JEE Main examination is conducted through two papers, Paper-1 for admission in B.E/ B. Tech programs and Paper-2 for admission in B. Arch/B. Planning programs.

JEE Main 2018 exam date notification will render the candidates to know the dates of – application form filling dates, application form correction dates, admit card availability dates, the cut off marks dates, examination date, result and counselling dates.

Candidates can get informed about the important dates of JEE Main 2018 by going through the points given below.

Application form

The application form is going to be available on online platform by the first quater of December, 2017. Candidates can fill their forms only through online mode, once it is available. The last date to submit the application form and uploading of scanned photograph (passport size) is going to be in the second week of January, 2018.

Application fee payment

After filling the form candidate needs to pay the application form fee. To make the payment through credit card/debit card or e-challan, the last date is going to be in the second quater of January 2018.

Admit Card

In the second week of March 2018, the admit cards will get available on the online platform. Candidates can access them by logging into the official website of JEE Main (jeemain.nic.in). Make sure to download the admit card as soon as possible, so that you can send it for correction in case any mistake is found in it.

JEE Main 2018 Exam dates for paper-1 and paper-2

Candidates will give the examination of paper-1 via offline mode. It is going to be conducted at first quater of April 2018. Also, paper-2 will get conducted in an offline manner in the starting of April 2018.

Availability of Answer key

After giving the exam, students will get the access to an answer key at third quater of 2018. However, there are many private institutions which release their answer key on the next day of the exam for the convenience of students.

Moreover, during third quater of April 2018, anyone can challenge the answer key released by the CBSE.  That person needs to pay a minimum fee to raise a claim and challenge.

Exam result and All India rank declaration

The result will be out in the last of April 2018. Also, the All India rank will get declared in the same week i.e., last of April 2018.

Exam result of paper-2

For paper-2, the result will get out in the fourth week of May 2018. Moreover, the rank card will get available in the last of May 2018.

JoSAA is entitled to look after the counselling part of JEE Main 2018. The information that you will go through below is based on the previous year’s notification. The JEE Main 2018 exam date sheet is going to get revealed later by the CBSE.

  • The joint Apex board declares the JEE Main 2018 ranks in the fourth week of April 2018.
  • By the second quater of June 2018, the students will start their registrations and make their choices for their preferred academic programs.
  • The display of mock seat allocation-1 to the students, based on their filled choices will be made at second quater of June 2018.
  • The display of mock seat allocation-2 to the students, based on their filled choices will be made at third quater of June 2018.
  • By the last quater of June 2018, the candidate’s registration and filled-in choices will end.
  • In the fourth quater of June 2018 the data reconciliation, seat allocation and verification and validation will be conducted.
  • First round of seat allotment will be made in the fourth quater of June 2018. After the seat allotment, reporting at the allotted centre for round one will happen in the fourth quater of June 2018. In the first quater of July, seat availability status will be displayed.
  • Second round of the seat allotment: The allotment and reporting at the allotted centre will happen in the first week of July 2018. First week of July 2018, the seat availability status for second round will be displayed.
  • Third round of seat allotment: Third round seat allotment for JEE Main 2018 and reporting at the allotted centre will be conducted in the second week of July 2018. Followed by the display of seat availability status on the same date.
  • Fourth round of seat allotment: It will happen along with the reporting of allotted centres and display of seat availability status in second week of July 2018.
  • Fifth round of seat allotment: The seat allotment and reporting at the allotted centre will occur along with the seat availability status display in the second week of July 2018.
  • Sixth round of seat allotment: Its allotment and reporting at the allotted centre will be conducted at mid-half of July 2018. This round will be the last round for withdrawal. Display of seat availability status will also happen at mid-half of July 2018.
  • Seventh round of seat allotment: It is the last round for seat allotment and reporting at the allotted centre will be conducted in the third week of July 2018.
